"...how many Kanye beats do a n*gga gotta murder to prove my mind's further..."
Let's be honest: Cole World: The Sideline Story was a major slash in Cole's forward progress as the preeminent emcee driving the original root of the Digital Era movement; it was all a matter of the mainstream debut shivers (or possibly Hov's misdirection), but this latest record "The Cure" set over Watch The Throne's "Lift Off," at least by my thoughts, is a testament to his own talent that revives the idea of his initial genius.
The four and a half minute record is rife with monologues and autobiographical lines, giving us the more introspective J., as well as the in-depth lyricism he built himself upon. While aspects of the beat are borrowed, it's highly original, and I can only equate the quality to everything prior to 2011.
I'm not sure what Cole's up to at the moment, but "The Cure" is a promising start, so give it a listen, and throw up your thoughts.
