Well, not quite all of the Penn State football players are electing to transfer. Though the Nittany Lions will be severely crippled for the next 5-10 years, and not allowed to compete in a bowl game for the next four, 25 Penn State football players gathered in unity today as seniors Mike Mauti and Mike Zordich delivered a speech together, vowing to stay with the Penn State program (video below).
"We want to let the nation know that we're proud of who we are. We're the true Penn Staters. We're gonn stick together through this.. we're going to do everything we can for the University," Zordich said.
"This program was not built by one man and this program is sure as hell not going to get torn down by one man," Mauti said, not specifying whether he was talking about Jerry Sandusky or Joe Paterno.

Without knowing the breakdown of who was a part of the group of Penn State football players who stood behind Mauti and Zordich as they tag-teamed the speech, it's not surprising that Nittany Lion upper classmen would want to stick around. They're settled into their lives at Penn State, loyal to their teammates, to their fans, to the new coaching staff they've been spending time with, to their own personal legacies they've been building in Happy Valley.
The players didn't answer questions after the statement, but based purely on Mauti and Zordich's delivery and demeanor, I'm pretty sure they left the mini-press conference and attempted to run through a brick wall.
