Don't you just love when you're watching your favorite show or guiltiest pleasure and you think to yourself, "Hey, what ever happened to..."? You fill in the blank. It seems all too often that TV storylines are just quickly dropped for whatever reason. Most of the time, it's because the story just really, really sucked and they wanted to forget it ever happened (ahem, Glee, we're looking at you), and the other reasons... well, we have no f*cking clue.
Here are 7 storylines that just disappeared into oblivion...
(There are a lot more, we just really like the number seven.)
Are we missing any? Let us know in the comments!

Ryan and Teresa's baby (The OC)
Introduced: 1x26
Last mentioned: 3x24
Should we care?: Well, yeah. Ryan Atwood is not a bad boy. OK, he is, but in the wifebeater-wearing kind of way. He would never abandon a child he knows is his. That's why fans have been peeved ever since it was implied that the baby was his (even after she said it wasn't). And geez, now we'll never know!

Jen's slutty half sister, Eve (Dawson's Creek)
Introduced: 3x01
Last mentioned: 3x05
Should we care?: Yes and no. No because she was probably one of the worst characters in the history of television (no exaggeration). But at the same time, the whole idea of Jen having a half sister could have went somewhere. Instead, it was never spoken of ever again.

Rachel's birth mom (Glee)
Introduced: 1x20
Last mentioned: 3x08
Should we care?: Not only is Shelby Rachel's birth mother and a former teacher at McKinley (like, what?!?), but she also adopted Puck and Quinn's baby. Oh, AND SHE HAD SEX WITH PUCK. Who also hooked up with her daughter at one point. Through all that crap, they never bothered to get a reaction out of Rachel that didn't involve a passing joke.

Tyra and Landry murder (Friday Night Lights)
Introduced: 2x01
Last mentioned: 2x09
Should we care?: No, because other than this, FNL can do NO WRONG. NONE. EVER.

Harry's affair with Dexter's birth mother (Dexter)
Introduced: 2x06
Last mentioned: Who knows?
Should we care?: Yes because the show is still ongoing. The writers still have a chance to explain what the hell happened. And I have faith they will. In the meantime, we're still scratching our heads.

Joey and Rachel (Friends)
Introduced: 8x12
Last mentioned: 10x03
Should we care?: No! They were an absolutely terrible couple with ZERO chemistry. And don't you love how one day he's "in love" with her and the next he's telling Ross to get back with her? Always bothered me and I never forgave the writers for this one.

Walt's old friend, Gretchen (Breaking Bad)
Introduced: 1x05
Last mentioned: 2x06
Should we care?: Yes. As with Dexter, this show is still going on, so we could be jumping the gun here. At the same time, if she was such great friends with Walt (enough to lie for him, among other things), wouldn't she check in once in a while? The whole thing just seemed... strange.
Which dropped storyline do you think is the worst and why?
