Cat Power Vows To "Leave America" In Bizarre Instagram Rant
No judgments or thoughts, really, but yes, Cat Power's Chan Marshall did post a truly bizarre rant on the official Cat Power Instagram account yesterday, promising to "leave America" due to the "powers that be" "[raping] this earth with its lies, protection of wealth, and vicious slayings." Artist Spotlight: Wintersleep

Who?

Canadian rockers Wintersleep.

 

Sounds Like:

Warm, organic, billowing indie rock from our neighbors to the north. Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Wintersleep formed in 2001, releasing a pair of independent label albums before signing with EMI Music Canada's Labwork Music and scoring their first major critical and commercial success with 2007's Welcome To The Night Sky, which earned the group a New Group of the Year Juno Award the following spring. An opening slot for Paul McCartney and Late Night With David Letterman appearance accompanied their fourth album, 2009's New Inheritors. The band's latest, Hello Hum, dropped last month via Roll Call Records.
