Wiz has been pretty splintered in terms of quality consistency for his upcoming album O.N.F.I.C., and with this latest Sledgren-produced track "Bed Rest," we're catching a little too much laxity in the sounds to allow them to differentiate themselves with other well-received records (this isn't listed as officially a part of the album, but is still indicative of direction).

We're always glad to see Wiz back at work with long-time collaborator Sledgren, but in the instance of "Bed Rest," the instrumentals aren't coming through. The aim of the track is clearly an easy-going feel, which, you know, is what Wiz is usually all about, but the pace and volume of things is barely enough to keep you from dozing.

Anyway, this is nothing to make conclusions about, but let's hope that Wiz puts a little more electricity in things for his upcoming album that drops August 28.
