Cat Power Vows To "Leave America" In Bizarre Instagram Rant
No judgments or thoughts, really, but yes, Cat Power's Chan Marshall did post a truly bizarre rant on the official Cat Power Instagram account yesterday, promising to "leave America" due to the "powers that be" "[raping] this earth with its lies, protection of wealth, and vicious slayings."

Got some pretty exciting Arcade Fire news, as I'm sure you've guessed...
By most accounts, 2012 is proving to be yet another stellar year for independent rock. That said, let's forget about this year (who needs it, right?) for a hot minute and talk about 2013… and Grammy Award-winning Canadians. If you're following @ArcadeFireTube (as you should be), then you've already seen this mildly exciting announcement:
BREAKING! New Arcade Fire album coming next year, Mercury Records has confirmed.
There you have it. The follow-up to 2010's The Suburbs (winner of a little known Grammy award called the Album of the Year) will be in stores, online and, inevitably, towards the top of critical Best Of lists sometime in 2013.
Details are a little scarce… which is to say we don't have any yet. But you can be confident we'll be hearing a whole lot more about it in the coming months. All we can do at this moment is to: 1.) get hella excited, 2.) listen to the other three albums on a constant loop for the next 6-17 months, and 3.) um, more of that first thing.
Anyone else beyond excited for the next Arcade Fire album? Hit up our comments section below.
