Listen Up: Danny Brown Drops Studio Version Of "Kush Coma" With A$AP Rocky And Zelooperz
Well, we heard the A$AP Rocky-included version of Danny Brown's latest Old preview "Kush Coma" a second ago via Tim Westwood, and to finally stamp things down, snaggle tooth decided to go ahead and share the final "official" studio version of the Rocky and Zelooperz-featured record. Danny's kept himself present throughout most of the year following up the acclaim XXX received last year, and with the appearance of early version of "Kush Coma" surfacing not too long ago, his upcoming TBA album Old has quickly become one of the most anticipated projects of the summer. We'll see where things go, but from what we're catching here, there's little reason to believe that Danny won't one-up himself with this next piece of work. Anyway, here's "Kush Coma"; give it a listen, throw up your thoughts, and look out for more news on Old (obviou...

Listen Up: "Near Death" By Meek DeMeo
UPDATE: so, to follow-up his "Paper Birds" release with Kendrick Lamar yesterday, Meek DeMeo decided to hit us again with a new set of sounds, this one being an equally haunting funeral epic titled "Near Death." Here's the track. Hit it up, and check out Meek's previous releases below. Meek DeMeo caught my attention a while back when he dropped an Ab-Soul featured remix of his track "Hallucinogen," and to show that his TDE affiliation and breakout wasn't a simple stand alone spark, he's back with some new sounds, this time featuring Kendrick Lamar, which should speak pretty well on the kind of interest he's getting from the scene. As we saw with "Hallucinogen," t...

Just when we all began to figure that it was going to be a relatively quiet Friday full of HipHopDX leaking out more Nas tracks and people chalking up Beanie Sigel's jail time, Kendrick decides to flip the mood as usual by serving us another track from his upcoming album good kid m.A.A.d city to go along with "Cartoon & Cereal" and "The Recipe."

| Releated: Listen Up: "Cartoon & Cereal" By Kendrick Lamar Feat. Gunplay |

This latest, titled "Swimming Pools (Drank)" delves into the deep (not a pun) as usual, with Kendrick tackling topics surrounding alcoholism while managing to bring a genre-bending style out of the lyrical intricacies. The T-minus instrumentals couldn't be more perfect for relaying the various tones of the track, and at the whole of it, K. Dot is only showing us once more that he's commanding the direction of hip-hop.

Here's "Swimming Pools (Drank)," give it a listen, throw up your thoughts. good kid m.A.A.d city is still relatively hushed, but expect to hear some more in terms of release as these singles surface.
