NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Many ladies love their handbags and will spend a lot of money for the latest and greatest, but a new study says what is inside those bags may be covered in germs worse than what you’ll find in the bathroom.
Banana Republic is taking their clothes to new heights, and we mean literally. The label will be pairing up with Virgin America to design the uniforms for the airline's employees. If you're not a pilot or a flight attendant, don't fret. The duo will be selling select items like including aviator sunglasses, trenches and a leather tote to the general public for a limited time. To celebrate the 10th season of Project Runway, the fashion competition reality show will be installing a virtual runway on the High Line. The instillation got Diane Von Furstenberg's stamp of approval:
"The High Line is, in essence, a runway—visitors from New York City and all over the world come and walk on an elevated platform in the heart of the Meatpacking District, the city's epicenter of fashion and design, so this is an incredible partnership where style, culture and community meet."
