If there’s one thing people absolutely love to watch, it’s a bunch of technologically-advanced aliens beat the tar out of humanity. TNT’s post-apocalyptic series Falling Skies has just been renewed for a third season of martians being better than humans, so I guess we should be excited and not terrified at all that this might be a distraction from the real alien invasion? Currently in its second year, the show has done quite well for TNT (who "know drama" as they like to point out) as it sits as one of basic cable’s more popular summer dramas. TNT has ordered 10 more new episodes that will be set to air in 2013, so get excited!

More aliens! More discoveries! More Noah Wyle facial hair! It's all a constant reminder that if we were to ever actually come into contact with our extraterrestrial neighbors, we would be practically helpless against their might and we will be forced to rely on a bearded Jesus-allegory to help take back humanity—or something like that.
