Gabriel commented on Giancarlo Stanton Monster Homerun Sunday Versus the Cubs:
“Amazing home run. Few players in baseball can hit that ball so hard and far. Can't wait for Stanton to earn freedom from the glorified AAA team Marlins and play for a real MLB club.”
Luke Bryan is an American hero, one who almost single-handedly helped me survive Summer 2010 thanks to a simple equation that revealed to me the essence of life. We'll get to that later. The country music star was tasked to sing the National Anthem before the All-Star Game in Kansas City last night, but it turns out that some patriots were pissed that Bryan apparently kept looking at his watch while he was singing. Oh, sorry buddy, do you have to be in Yemen to help al-Qaeda train or something? Sorry to take so much time out of your day.
No, you guys, you've got the wrong idea. Luke Bryan just didn't want to screw up "The Star-Spangled Banner," especially with all those veterans and baseball-loving Americans around. What a true American, you guys, cheating during the National Anthem in the name of Patriotism with a Capital P.

Before you freak out, Luke Bryan has already apologized, so please refrain from any more criticism.

That's certainly one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is that he did exactly what it takes to make sure he *does* embarrass himself in front of America. Ha!

Allison Grooms:
I guess singing the National Anthem would be stressful for any singer. At least Luke Bryan does what it takes to make sure he don't embarrass himself in front of America.

Bison Messink:
Love how he sings with his eye passionately closed, then opens them up to peak his notes, then closes them passionately again.
