Former Penn State President Graham Spanier, who was central to the cover up of Jerry Sandusky's sexual abuse, has been formally charged with criminal wrong doing. Spanier, who was fired within a week of the Sandusky story breaking, is charged with obstruction of justice, perjury, conspiracy, endangering the welfare of children and failure to report allegations of child abuse. Interestingly, at the press conference to announce the new charges, the first question for Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly was about former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, and whether he would have been charged if he were alive. Kelly, however, refused to speculate.
