Scientology revelations throughout the 11-day process became very alarming. Tom always seemed to be someone who needed and wanted to be in control. But because of Katie's plan, he wasn't any more. The settlement came quickly, but not until stories about Scientology came forward, making Katie look like someone who's just trying to protect her child. The two finally reached an agreement a little under two weeks after Katie first filed and are now back to working as if their five-year marriage never even happened.

Scientology Revelations
74. The Sea Organization that Tom wanted Suri to go to was Katie's breaking point. The organization has been compared to a boot camp with military-like conditions.
75. TMZ reported that Katie witnessed Tom's other kids go through a Scientology test in 2005 and it alarmed her. She didn't want Suri to have to go through the process called "sec checking" where you hold electrode handles while being asked personal questions. The test is done to help find "areas of spiritual distress."
76. A Rosemary's Baby lifestyle is what Katie apparently experienced. Us Weekly reported that Katie felt like she was a part of that 1968 horror film. "Every move she made and everything she did was controlled...She felt like she was in Rosemary's Baby," said a source. "She felt she had to get out to save her daughter," another added.
77. Katie believes Scientology members are following her. Gary Soter, lawyer for the Church, made it known to TMZ though that nothing like that was happening.
78. Tom's people don't agree that Scientology is behind Katie's decision to divorce. A source tells TMZ, "This is not a fight over religion. It's being used as a way to hurt Tom."
79. Tom's team also stated, "She [Katie] was totally committed to Scientology. She had enthusiasm for it and would voluntarily and gladly participate in it when Tom was off shooting movies."
80. Celebuzz reported that Tom's staff (maids, cooks, gardeners) are actually hand picked by the Church of Scientology. His $35 million Beverly Hills, Calif. mansion wasn't necessarily for his benefit either. Cruise is without a doubt the face of Scientology when it comes to celebrities and their help also came with influence.
81. Tom's former Scientology auditor basically stated on his blog that Suri will be influenced to believe that her mother is a sociopath. "Katie can count upon…Tom Cruise and his Scientology handlers attempting to indoctrinate Suri to accept Scientology Inc policies with a slant toward fearing that Katie is a Suppressive Person," Mark Rathbun wrote.
82. Celebuzz reported that past court documents seem to claim that Tom wiretapped Nicole Kidman during their 2001 divorce. Also, there's something about a tabloid magazine editor that tried to "out" the actor as gay.
83. Tom Cruise's former personal manager basically comes forward to Daily Mail saying that Tom is a very nice person, but always wanted to be a star. "He would channel his rage into his roles" and "He didn’t believe in therapy but he obviously needed help." Scientology was perfect for him.
84. Scientology blacklisted Katie from Hollywood. "It’s no coincidence why Katie hasn’t been getting the roles she deserves," a friend had said. Some believe that Hollywood is scared of the rise of Scientology, and therefore skew winnings at award shows.
The Aftermath
85. Both Tom and Katie put out a joint statement saying, "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests," the statement read. "We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents."
86. Moments later a rep confirmed that a settlement has been reached. Wolfe told People, "The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life...We thank Tom's counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution."
87. The couple did have a prenup. Rumors began that Katie may not get much money in the settlement, but she was promised certain amounts depending on how the long were married for. Child custody was also mentioned but details could be negotiated.
88. Sources told People that Katie will have physical custody of Suri. Tom will get significant amounts of visitation.
89. Katie's lawyer Jonathan Wolfe shut down those comments though saying everything will be kept confidential. "There are numerous inaccuracies in the reports regarding the purported contents of the agreement reached between the parties," says attorney Jonathan Wolfe. "The agreement is confidential and its terms will not be disclosed," he says.
90. Daily Mail also reported that Kate asked for an 'ironclad' clause. "Under terms of the settlement, Suri isn’t permitted to be exposed to anything Scientology-related, and this includes going to any Scientology churches, parties, etc."
91. A source said that Tom was for this. "They both love their daughter and Tom thinks she should be with her mother."
92. The divorce is settled only 11 days after the initial filing.
A World Without TomKat
93. Ex-Scientologists give Katie credit for what she's done. Mike Rinder, who used to handle Scientology's media tactics, told The Hollywood Reporter that "Katie's been brilliant, absolutely brilliant." Making no comments and taking the actions she did quietly panned out well for her.
94. A source told Us Weekly that Katie is said to be very excited about the deal. "She won and is happy. Very happy. She can move on and finally live her life." Suri was all she cared about in this entire situation.
95. The source also thinks her professional life will get back on track. "She has her career back and her daughter."
96. Katie had already shown a new side to ELLE for its August issue. "If something's not okay, then I make it known. I will deal with things…the way my mom taught us girls how to be. She stressed listen, learn, always be strong and be true to yourself."
97. A few days before settling, Tom came out on top on Forbes. It was reported that he made the list as the highest-paid actor in the industry. He made $75 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
98. Katie will begin production shortly on a new film about a single mother and her daughter. The actress just so happened to co-write it and will be co-producing.
99. Tom is already back to work. After the settlement Monday morning he went from Los Angeles to a small airport in Mammoth Lakes to continue shooting for the film he was working on in Iceland.
100. Suri will continue to be the most stylish celebrity child in Hollywood.
