Second verse, same as the first:
Just thought you should know. Tom Waits's live appearances are not only rare but somewhat arbitrary—this is his first promotion for Bad As Me, which came out when the St. Louis Cardinals still sucked last season—and are akin not just to spotting Sasquatch, but spotting him at an Arby's. Y'all with televisions should TiVo this stuff. Given how many songs off Bad As Me are about leaving, in mortal sense, Tom Waits seems to be telling us that he won't be around forever.
Bonus: Since Waits played "Chicago" on Letterman last night, he'll probably play "Satirsfaction," the actual single off Bad As Me, tonight. The album track features Keith Richards ricking a very self-referential guitar part; over/under on Richards' appearance on Fallon tonight? #itcouldhappen
