If you follow me on Twitter, you're probably more than aware of my utter disdain for certain television characters. And it's not because I'm hyper-critical or super irritable, I swear. It's because I love TV so much that I find it hard to appreciate a character who completely ruins scene after scene with his or her maddening qualities.
In most of these cases, I don't think it was the writers' intention to make the most unbearable person possible, but I compiled a list of the few that stick out in my mind the most. Also, this is not a full rundown by any means (looking at you, Andie McPhee and Betty Draper), but check it out!

Dawson Leery (Dawson's Creek)
Current Status: Living vicariously through his TV show and pining over the girl he lost to his best friend.
Why He Sucks: When he lightened up, he wasn't half bad, but he spent a majority of the show's run angsting over Joey Potter. Just watch the epsiode "Show Me Love" and you'll see exactly why he's on this list.
Redeeming Moments: Saving Pacey in the storm, duh.
Skylar (Breaking Bad)
Current Status: Helping her meth-manufacturing hubby launder money.
Why She Sucks: Other than sleeping with her boss and cheating on her husband in the process, she also went through a major b*tch phase. Yes, she's allowed to be pissed at Walter for lying, but she never owns up to her own mistakes.
Redeeming Moments: Buying the car wash and finally realizing Walt was only looking out for their family.
Tess (Roswell)
Current Status: On her home planet with her and Max's alien baby.
Why She Sucks: She was introduced as the "new girl" and deliberately came between Max and Liz. Oh, and she KILLED Alex for no reason at all. I think we were supposed to like her and then grow to hate her, but I just cringed every time she appeared on screen.
Redeeming Moments: Um...?
Becky (Friday Night Lights)
Current Status: Losing pageants? Who knows. (OK, that was mean.)
Why She Sucks: Her pathetic attempts to grope Tim Riggins were just that: pathetic. We know she went through a rough time, but she often took Luke for granted and it just pissed everyone off.
Redeeming Moments: Letting Luke in as opposed to blowing him off. I guess.
Will Shuester (Glee)
Current Status: Gearing up for a new year at McKinley.
Why He Sucks: Don't get me wrong, Will has his moments. But most of the time, his corny speeches and subpar rap skills make me want to jump off a cliff.
Redeeming Moments: When he went off on Terry. That scene was fantastic.
Rita (Dexter)
Current Status: Dead. RIP.
Why She Suck(ed): She was almost TOO nice. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. And come on, I don't think anyone will ever be good enough for our favorite serial killer.
Redeeming Moments: Giving birth to Harrison, one of the cutest kids ever.
Rory (Gilmore Girls)
Current Status: Probably in DC working as a White House reporter. Or something.
Why She Sucks: She talks too much, too fast and she's too perfect. It's hard to relate to a character whose biggest problem is getting in trouble for stealing a yacht. I could also never sympathize with her tendency to ruin her own relationships.
Redeeming Moments: Most of her time with Jess. I admit, I couldn't look away.
