I'm on my way to achieving my goal of a beach-themed bedroom. I decided to not go the direct route (surfboards and seashells), but instead I've been trying to find things that have a weathered, deep, and sturdy character that exude peace, nature, and freedom.
I just purchased this chalkboard and glass jar today. I'll be filling the jar with a few more stones to give my room more of a grounded, natural feel. I already have a skylight that offers a ton of sunlight. Now, I think I just need a green element and possibly a beautifully unique piece of artwork that completes my dream of having a serene retreat in which I can wake up, be creative, and fall asleep.
