This has got to be a little awkward for someone who has expressed his views that all marriages should be recognized — but it also proves that not all parents influence their children in the wrong ways.
Jane Pitt, mother of Brad, wrote an open letter to the Springfield News-Leader in Missouri. In it, she not only expresses her vote for republican Mitt Romney, but bashes current president Barack Obama and pretty much sets America back 200 years.
An excerpt from the letter:
“Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
More after the jump:
The letter, shared via Huffington Post, was encouraged after another reader sent in a letter expressing that “traditional Christians believe in marriage equality” (at least someone gets it right).
Brad (as well as fiance, Angelina Jolie) have been quite vocal in their thoughts on marriage equality. In a quote from People magazine, Brad said that states didn’t have the right to make people vote on gay marriage, adding, “Thanks to the tireless work of so many, someday soon this discrimination will end and every American will be able to enjoy their equal right to marriage.”
