Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson can do anything. ANYTHING. He can even get arrested for resisting arrest without officers attempting to arrest him for something else, which is apparently what happened last night in Houston, Texas.
I say "apparently" because I'm sure Houston police officers wouldn't be so negligent as to arrest a black man for resisting arrest without charging him with anything else to begin with. This is clearly all one big mixup, or it's a clever plot hatched by Adrian Peterson to get his contract with the Vikings voided. Christian Ponder will drive men to such deeds.
We'll keep an eye on this story as it develops, but as of now it appears as though Adrian Peterson is free on $1,000 bond. That's right, citizens of Houston: AP is out there, and he MAY resist arrest again. Remain alert/calm.
It must be said, though, that if police officers tried to arrest me for resisting arrest, I'd probably resist their attempts to arrest me, making me guilty of resisting arrest. The law is tricky.
