Half a month shy of the one-year anniversary of Amy Winehouse's untimely death, her father Mitch (whose new book Amy, My Daughter is out now, incidentally) has promised fans at least one or two more posthumous records, compiling the numerous covers, demos and alternate versions of previously released songs Amy recorded before her alcohol-related passing last summer.

"I'm not sure that there is much more but I'm sure that we will get at least one other album out, if not two," Mitch told BBC 6 Music in a new interview. "There are loads of covers, loads of them, but the problem is we don't want to rip anybody off. When her fans are so precious to us we don’t want to put out dross."
Honestly, as a fan, as much as I'd love to hear more "new" Amy Winehouse music, I kind of wish they'd just let her remaining recordings be. Last year's Lioness: Hidden Treasures (my rave review) was so perfect… I mean, "as good if not better than both of her proper studio albums" perfect… that I almost would rather forgo hearing more amazing recordings at the risk of sullying her preternaturally stainless musical legacy. I'm sure there are some real gems sitting on the shelf… but I don't know, wouldn't it be better to leave Amy Winehouse's catalogue alone while it's still misstep-free? Especially without her around to say yay or nay?
