It's a bit of a misnomer to say Bryce Harper took a "pie in the face" during an interview with MLB Network on the 4th of July (video below). That wasn't pie at all. Harper's Washington Nationals teammate Jayson Werth simply smeared shaving cream all over his face. Much harsher on the eyes, and not nearly as tasty.
"Golly!" Harper said as he tried to wipe away the white foam. How he managed to come up with the old-timey eclamation instead of actually cursing, I don't know. But then again, he is Mormon, so maybe he doesn't curse?

It's actually pretty surprising that we don't more often see athletes let out involuntary curse words on live TV in response to pie or shaving cream in the face. If it were me, I know my auto-reaction would be to yell "Shitfuck!"
But then again I've never received coaching on how not to say bad words on live TV, as I assume that many athletes have.
Also of note from this interview: Harper showed off his brand new Clown Question, Bro line of apparel. So money.
