Today in Wait, Someone’s Still Letting George Lopez on Television? news: Fox, the latest network to realize how incredibly faulty it is to let George Lopez lend his name to a TV show, has decided to dump the comedian’s dating bonanza Take Me Out (because this is a thing C-list comedians do to stay relevant, I guess) which is just as horrible as it sounds: a competition where women truly believe they can find love in a hopeless place (a televised game show) by relentlessly judging a stable of men before they end up in a relationship with one of them for like a month. George Lopez's job was assisting in that relentless judging, peppering it with poignant, thoughtful statements about how hard it is to be Mexican.
Take Me Out will be pushed onto Saturday nights after its most recent episode grabbed only 2.3 million eyes. And the worst thing about all of this is that Fox most likely didn’t even bother to tell it to Lopez’s face and probably text-dumped him ("we shud brek up, LOLZ") because that’s the kind of people the folks at Fox are: cold, manipulative bastards that keep you waiting up at night and don’t even bother to renew you after they promised they’d totally meet your parents. Terra Nova knows something about that, but I don't think they want to talk about it.
