I could never forget meeting my absolute favorite musician and ultimate inspiration, David Choi :) I absolutely love this picture with him and I loved his concert. I sang along with every song as loud as I could, even if not everyone knew the words. Of course I knew the words. His lyrics are just so real and so raw and so inspiring and enlightening.
David's just so different from other artists because he's so real. He doesn't let the industry control him; he's his own manager and he makes his own decisions about his music. He doesn't let a label fix his sound or his image or style to appeal to the masses. He's just himself and you can feel it. When you listen to his music, it feels like he's a friend trying to support you or share something with you and that's what I love about him.
That's why when I met him, I told him he was one of my biggest inspirations. In any situation I felt I needed some help, his music was always there and there was always a song for every situation.
That's also why I worked hard to try to make his concert experience a little more unique. I bought white floating balloons that I held up and placed on stage for By My Side just like in his music video and I drew a puzzle (which is in the picture) and with the help of friends, had different people give him different pieces and put it together. Just like in the music video :)
