Anderson Cooper came out as gay in an email with the Daily Beast Monday and yet the news is still fresh on everyone's minds. Granted, most of us already knew that the reporter was, but the moment became a great one for both he and his close friends.
"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud," he wrote. "I have always been very open and honest about this part of my life with my friends, my family, and my colleagues." Soon after the news came to the surface many of his famous friends tweeted out their support. Some included Ellen DeGeneres, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Kathy Griffin. Others like Mindy Kaling and Sarah Hyland shed a small tear knowing they would now never get the chance to be with the silver fox too.
