So True Blood last night. It was an episode. Stuff happened, but nothing that I particularly wanted to happen. Sure there was some true deaths and a giant burlesque fairy party but I just kind of sat around waiting for a little bit of extra.
Clearly the best moments of the night was about Pam saying goodbye to Eric (bloody, bloody tears) and accepting Tara as her new prodigy. I actually am really looking forward to seeing this relationship because if anyone could whip Tara into shape it's Pam. Plus, Pam kind of hates Sookie and Tara hates Sookie at this point. Every bond of BFF girl friendship starts with a mutual hatred of something. That's just how ladies work.

Ugh, all the sentimentality.
I guess the second best plot line of the night was the whole Authority thing and uncovering the mole. Except I totally saw that the mole was the kid a thousand miles away. I wanted it to be the old Southern lady and I wanted her to freak out and the two to battle. This anti-climatic moment was just one of the many "eh" moments in the episode.
SO WHAT if Jason and Belfleur got kicked out of fairy land? The Terry thing was kind of interesting but stopped just when it started to get good. Lafayette being some kind of witch demon is great and all, but it's not even focused on. It's just kind of like "oh hey, that's what's going on with him." Anyway, I'm glad to see that most everyone isn't taking Sookie's shit anymore, particularly Tara, Lafayette and even Bill. I mean that whole part where she got drunk and said to Alcide "You'd do anything for me. You're in love with me" I wanted Alcide to throw her against the wall and then punch her in her stupid gapped teeth face.
But hey, nothing against Anna Paquin. I've officially decided that nobody on earth is as unlikeabe as Sookie, therefore Paquin is a terrific actress.
Now, this isn't to say that I didn't necessarily like last night's episode. What I think is happening is that the cast and crew know exactly where season five is going to end and its going to be epic. I'm guessing the last three episodes are going to be the type where you just end up screaming at the TV going "What? What?" But here, they got nothing. We're not close to finding Russell yet. We're not close to figuring out the Terry/Iraq thing yet. We're not even going to talk about the weird fairy world and Belfleur tie in. Nope, that's for another time.
As a side note, what I do like about the whole "finding Russell" thing is the fact that both Bill and Eric have no f*cking clue what they're doing. "I guess we should go back to Louisiana...Cause, uh...maybe Russell's around? Wait didn't he live in Mississippi? Doesn't matter. Sookie Sookie Sookie."
Also, I'd probably be a terrible vampire who totally sympathizes with the cause Nora's on. All I would do is glamour people and then make vampires and tell them to do stuff. How has no evil vampire started an army yet? Some guy from Eastern Europe should make like 50 vampires who intern will glamour/make 50 more vampires...etc. Then all the big guy has to do is say "as your maker I order you and your progenies to do this."
Done. World domination in ten days. I'm just saying is all.
SumOlogy: Oh and a bunch of shifters are dead. Forgot about that.
