Watch This: Wiz Khalifa Drops "Let It Go" Music Video Feat. Akon
Wiz' O.N.I.F.C. didn't make as much buzz as it probably hoped to (let's be honest: Wiz hasn't exactly been on the top of his talent ever since he attained fame with "Black and Yellow"), but he's still making the content push, the latest product being the music video for his Akon-featured single "Let It Go."
Verse-wise, I'll admit that Wiz is much closer to his prime than usual (at least in my opinion), and while they aren't bolstered by much more than his typical blunt smoking shots and random wandering, the collective audio/visual function is working. The Akon presence isn't really necessary (ever), but that's not my decision, so I'll just let that be. There's this whole boxing/crosstraining thing going on in the video too, but I'm not going to touch on that.
O.N.I.F.C. has been out for a minute now, so pick it up if you haven't already; for the mome...
We heard a minute back that Wiz and Spitta were planning on following up their How Fly collab mixtape that dropped something like three years ago, and with some official word set straight from Young Khalifa, we've got ourselves some new sounds in cement.
Here's what Wiz dropped on Twitter:
"Speakin Of Anniversaries, Iss Been 3 years Since Me And Spitta Dropped How Fly. Aug. 9th We’ll Be Giving You Smthn Else To Smoke To. Its Called “Live In Concert” Now Break Out Your Nuggs"
I'm going to assume the title doesn't allude to actual recordings of live concert sessions, but you never know. Hopefully it's actually some real content, preferably along the lines of How Fly rather than the post-Rolling Papers Wiz that, well, is a 360 degree flunk. We'll see how it goes.
Anyway, Live In Concert is set to drop on August 9, so keep an eye out.
