“I am not a fan of the posthumous holograms. I think it is a nice tribute when ODB's son preforms for him. I think the hologram turns homage into a rubbernecking pixel spectacle”

Check Out The 2013 Bonnaroo Lineup… As Announced by "Weird Al" Yankovic
While you were out on lunch break, this year's Bonnaroo lineup was announced by none other than "Weird Al" Yankovic, taking over Bonnaroo's YouTube channel with typically "Weird Al"-esque results. The three-day music and arts festival (June 13-16 in Manchester, TN) will feature headline performances from Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Mumford & Sons (yeah, whoa) plus appearances by: Animal Collective, Wilco, Björk, Earl Sweatshirt, R. Kelly, Wu-Tang Clan, The National, David Byrne and St. Vincent, Passion Pit, the xx, Kendrick Lamar, Grizzly Bear, Nas, Beach House, Cat Power, A$AP Rocky, Tame Impala, Foals, Local Natives, Dirty Projectors… Holy Ghost!, Divine Fits, Purity Ring, Swans, Big K.R.I.T., Four Tet, Father John Misty, Japandroids, Dea...

Album Review: "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang" by Raekwon
Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang is actually a revolutionary album. Not because of who the album features, but rather because of who does NOT make an appearance on the Chef's fifth studio album. It should be noted that this is the very first album from a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, as far as this writer is aware, that was made without any input from legendary Clan producer the RZA. Normally, the pure thought that a Wu spin-off album could be produced sans RZA seems incomprehensable. The RZA is the soul of the Wu, and one of the original members. But you know what? This is Raekwon's album. Each member of the Clan has a sound that they as individuals have made their own. And for Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang, the Chef wanted that sound to be something that no Clan-related album has had before. And I gotta say, it works. Granted there have been many, many Wu tracks that have been ...

'Return To The 36 Chambers' By ODB To Be Re-Released
ODB died in his studio of an apparent drug overdose back in 2004. It's hard to believe that the most rawkus, absurd, and ridiculous member of the famed Wu-Tang Clan has been gone for seven years. What's more amazing is the fact that his debut album, Return To The 36 Chambers was released 16 years ago in 1995. To honor the late, great Russell Jones, better known as Dirty, the Get On Down music boutique is re-releasing the classic hip-hop album, complete with all the extras you see above. This includes: a vintage "On Tour" poster, extended artwork, a promo sticker, detailed liner notes, an ODB wallet, and a laminated food stamp card ala his album cover. The re-release will also feature a second disc, including remixes, a capellas, instrumentals, and rarities. ...

This Trailer Rules: 'The Man With The Iron Fists'

Movie Trailers
Wu-Tang Clan

So here's the first trailer for the kung fu epic The Man With The Iron Fists. I talked about this movie yesterday when the official poster came out. Basically, I was gushing over RZA because he's the best and any other argument is invalid.

| Related: That official poster |

The trailer is pretty intense, it's hard to completely understand what we're looking at due to the color scheme and fast editing. I can hope that the film itself isn't so choppy. But, that being said, this still looks pretty effin' awesome. A fan that just goes around and slits people's throats? Is there a toy tie in with this? Nerf may have a missed oppurtunity here.

Anyway, if all the blood, guts and gore doesn't get your heart rate up a bit, there's also sweaty Chinese prostitutes. I have to mention that because somewhere out there is a guy at work Googling SWEATY CHINESE PROSTITUTES. Hey man, no judgements. TGIF forever.
