Taking nothing away from the San Fransisco Giants, who played like champs and beat the Detroit Tigers' brains in for four straight games, the Tigers played the World Series like a sad-sack group of victims. Their defeatist attitude was reminiscent of the same woe-is-me feeling that the Yankees had recently brought to Detroit.
Looking back, it sure feels like the Detroit Tigers lost the World Series just a few innings into the first game in San Fransisco.
