Here's Rand Paul on the Supreme Court's upholding of the Affordable Care Act:
Just because a couple people on the Supreme Court declare something to be 'constitutional' does not make it so. The whole thing remains unconstitutional. While the court may have erroneously come to the conclusion that the law is allowable, it certainly does nothing to make this mandate or government takeover of our health care right. (Via Politico)
First off, it wasn't a couple people, it was five of them, out of nine, WHICH IS WHY IT'S CALLED A FUCKING MAJORITY. Second of all, when five people WHO HAPPEN TO BE SUPREME COURT JUSTICES declare something consitutional, it does make it so, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE SUPREME COURT DOES.
I've been having fun on this blog with all of Rand Paul's typical political moves lately, continual reminders that for all his father's supporters believe the Paul men to be ideological avatars for Truth and Freedom, they're just politicians. Thank you Mr. Rand Paul for putting me in my place. You are a different breed after all.
