I know what you're thinking. "What is Shaun Ryder doing on Conan without the rest of The Happy Mondays?" Stop embarrassing yourself, grandpa—that's Brooklyn alternative hip-hop mainstay El-P, performing "Works Every Time" (from his new album Cancer 4 Cure, out now) with one of our all-time favorite people in the world, punk-opera songstress Zola Jesus. Don't tell the album version (featuring Interpol singer Paul Banks) we said this, but this version is kind of the coolest thing we've heard all week.

Okay, so it's not the greatest Zola Jesus cameo in history—they can't all be "Intro" and "New France," you know. She more than makes up for it with that woolly white hood and whatever dance move she's working on beneath it. Meanwhile, El-P sounds like someone just dragged him out of bed and forced him to say something into the mic… which, I don't know, I kind of love. If all that weren't enough, Conan's horns section drop in towards the end to put a nice little musical bow on the whole package.
Verdict? You need to go find a copy of Cancer 4 Cure… and Zola Jesus needs to do more of everything she's doing in this clip.
