There is a bat-winged Lucifer playing the world's tiniest harp on my shoulder as I watch Ann Curry's tearfully painful exit speech from The Today Show, and as I listen to the condolences from her comrades, it is taking everything inside of me to not call them out for actually not giving a fuck. But let's throw all shade aside and watch Ann Curry not really explain why she's leaving Today (although the Internet knows why), as she recites my favorite lines from The Color Purple in my head: "All my life I had to fight. I had to fight my daddy. I had to fight my uncles. I had to fight my brothers. A girl child ain't safe in a family of men, but I ain't never thought I'd have to fight in my own house!!"

Vivian Moran:
I am so sad that Ann Curry is leaving the Today show. She was great and she was so real. This is a ratings decision which is truly unfortunate.
