Yes, I know, you're saying to yourself "Well, Hov's Blueprint went Platinum, and it dropped on September 11," but A$AP Rocky isn't Jay-Z, and the reputation of his previous tapes certainly isn't enough to supersede 9/11 remembrances. What I'm saying is that dropping your debut album on the eleventh anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil might not be the best idea given that people are pretty preoccupied with other business, let alone paranoid that some return fire may suddenly appear from superstition. However, A$AP Rocky seems to insist that releasing his long-anticipated album Long.Live.A$AP on September 11 is a proper approach from a sales standpoint.

It's not to say that his previous release date, the Fourth of July, was any better. Dropping projects on these national days of recognition isn't really the best idea. Why not shoot for the Tuesday before? Why not avoid September all together? You know every other major name is already locking scopes in proximity. It's not my album though, so whatever.
Anyway, that's that. A$AP Rocky's Long.Live.A$AP drops on September 11.
