John is questioning I Have A Lot To Say About 'The Great Gatsby' Trailer

John commented on I Have A Lot To Say About 'The Great Gatsby' Trailer:
“I think it's visually beautiful, just like most of his movies. I also don't really feel like the music is a bad touch. I mean, for god's sake, Romeo + Juliet was set in modern times with guns. I think it adds a nice flair. The only thing that I don't like is that I always considered Gatsby to be this mysterious figure who isn't seen very often. So I don't like that they're showing him so much : /”
I don’t know how much Ayn Rand you’ve read in your life, but the best part about any Atlas Shrugged movie news is that it makes me laugh. This is quite interesting because honestly, there is nothing funny about Ayn Rand. No one has ever said “Rand? She’s a riot! She had us all in stitches at the last party we had. She also smoked 5 packs of cigarettes in a row.”
Anyway, Atlas Shrugged is, shall we say, rather weighty fare worshipped by objectivists (generally conservative economic types) and misconstructed by ivy leaguers all over the world. Personally, I read Fountainhead which is more about art and how everything sucks all the time and the only way you can solve your problems is by blowing something up. And rape.
But a little while ago the film adaptation Atlas Shrugged Part 1 ROCKED Hollywood by kind-of-being-a-big-deal-but-not-really. Basically the project was funded by the filmmaker John Agilaloro as well as a bunch of tea-partiers. Then the liberal media crushed the film because of the gay agenda (or something?) and then Agilaloro had a very Randian hissyfit.
But yay? Atlas Shrugged Part 2 is back on schedule and here’s the teaser trailer! It clearly doesn’t show you anything, except that if you want to look smart as a political pundit, you have to throw some quote from Rand and then add in the words “free market” and “fiscal evolution.”
Katie Zaborsky:
I can already see the trailer to this: Big block letters of "Who is John Galt?" narrowing in while some "Made in America" remix plays in the background.
