My roommate and I have used Zipcar twice in the past week to run errands and pick up furniture for our new apartment. Both experiences have been suprising awesome - super easy to reserve a car, quick pick-up/return process, and excellent customer service (had to extend our car reservation by an hour and successfully did it over the phone within two minutes of calling the service line).
I definitely see myself renting a Zipcar for day retreats throughout the summer...didn't expect a quick drive down the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to be so liberating.
Zipcar = highly recommended. And the car selection is pretty extensive.
