Being that the NBA season has now concluded, you can expect that a whole slew of new player-based lines and extensions will be popping up and going into production, and to set the pace, Nike has jumped out pretty quickly to show off what I will honestly say are the most hideous shoes I've ever seen in my life.

Properly named "What the Kobe," the latest Nike Zoom Kobe VII update waves around every slop of idea that someone behind the curtain could press into it, half of it looking like an accident, the other like some reptilian evolutionary abortion never meant for flesh production. Sure, it sounds harsh, but these things are f*cking hideous.
The sad part is that people are going to lap these up like a dog does spilled grease simply for the fact that they're strange, but that's really nothing abnormal. We all have our affections for the weird in one way or another.
