In a screen test video for W mag, Karlie Kloss talks about her time as a not-so-normal high schooler (she wore Dior to prom) among other things. Hey Karlie, what's it like being a model? Is it confusing for you?
"There are absolutely times where ... I get to a fitting or something, and I kind of look at my outfit and I'm a bit like, You've got to be kidding me, right? I get to be a chameleon. I get to sort of change my identity along with whatever it is that I'm wearing ... but I think that maybe I lose my identity, too, sometimes. You're becoming a different person eight times in the same day, so ... at the end of the day, I take all of my makeup off and my hair and I'm like, Karlie, hang on, wait, have we met? I don't know. I haven't seen you for a while. How you been?" [W]

Pierre Bergé, for one, is delighted that Hedi Slimane has changed the name of YSL to Saint Laurent Paris. He is also delighted that Stefano Pilati is gone.
I’m very happy. Anything that makes the house more Saint Laurent is welcome. I am happy that Stefano Pilati is gone, just as I was happy when Tom Ford left.
MAJOR two-in-one burn. [WWD]
Urban Decay, the first makeup company to really contest the idea of animal testing, is now selling its products in China, where animal testing for cosmetics is required. The brand had this to say in a Facebook post:
Urban Decay will not test on animals in China. However, the Chinese government may conduct a test using our products before they can be sold there. We absolutely realize that for many of you, it makes no difference who is doing the testing. But, animal rights are still very much important to Urban Decay, and our decision was a thoughtful one.
This is a fine example of boundless greed. [HuffPo, Facebook]

So Miley Cyrus gets engaged to Liam Hemsworth, and then she starts baring her midriff all over the west coast? I'm confused. [StyleWatch]
Refinery29 thinks you should get into a bidding war over $1,195 Isabel Marant Willow Sneakers, among other things. [Refinery29]
Thank GOD I'm not going to Milan for Fashion Week this Fall, because all of the train, subway and airline strikes are going to make commuting such a bitch. [WWD]
