Just a year after she hung on the arm of Karl Lagerfeld at the 2011 Met Gala, Blake Lively has moved on from her days as the face of Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag range. So where is she off to? Gucci, of course!
The 24-year-old Gossip Girl starlet will bring her charm as the face of Gucci's Old Hollywood-inspired perfume, Gucci Première, which launched back in 2010. Frida Giannini had nothing but accolades to throw at Blake, who she thinks fits the luxe profile of a Gucci Première girl.

"In conceiving this fragrance I was inspired by timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of Hollywood's golden era," Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said in a statement. "Blake's unique style and charisma brings that allure to life in a very contemporary way. Although she's young, she's also very determined, and I liked this spirit. She knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour."
Blake, who is certainly no stranger to the fashion scene, said it's a pleasure to work with the Italian label.
"Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength,' she said. "I admire the qualities of the Gucci Première woman and feel honored to represent the fragrance."
The short commercial film, which was shot by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn, which will be screened in September at the Venice Film Festival.
