'American Idol' Alum Jessica Sanchez Will Join 'Glee'

So today in Because Not Shit Else Is Going On In The Departments You Actually Care About news, American Idol runner-up and professional 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez is in talks to join musical bum fart Glee for a muli-episode arc in Season 4, TVLine reports, which should be really exciting for any fan of Glee or Idol and completely irrelevant for any other person on the entire planet. Sanchez belted her way to the Idol finals with resounding covers of songs like Beyonce's "Sweet Dreans", only to be trumped by the aw-shucks charms of I'm Just Here To Be Indie On The Most Mainstream Music Competition On The Planet winner Phillip Phillips. That thrilling voice of hers will certainly do well on Glee, if we're ignoring the fact that Glee—like Idol—has been a sinking ship in its past season. There are no details yet on Sanchez's character, but come on: she's totally gonna be Rachel's NYADA rival. Every girl needs one!
