Justin Bieber really has been all around the world this past week. After several video teases and tweets from the international pop star, Justin's Believe album finally released on June 19. To celebrate the arrival he played a concert for 2,000 fans at the Apollo in Harlem and then some. Here's to 5 big moments Justin has had in the past seven days. If you didn't catch the Bieber Fever this week then you clearly haven't been paying much attention.
After so much anticipation and a "Boyfriend" single to only hold us over, Justin's sophomore album finally arrived. Sure, "All Around the World" was an extra bonus but we needed more. Would there be songs about Selena Gomez? Of course. Was that rumor that he made a song just for that Mariah Yeater debacle just a rumor? Nope. Fans overloaded on iTunes at midnight but no one seemed more excited than Justin himself. With every hour came another tweet counting down the minutes. "Fall," "Die in Your Arms" and "Be Alright" are just some of the songs worth a repeat.
2. Apollo Power Outage
The Ology team was there as Justin performed at his secret show in Harlem. With just a few hours before showtime, he made the announcement that he would be appearing there. How'd those lucky 2,000 fans snag a seat? They bought a package with a code to go download his album and a whole stock of his moisturizers and perfume. With a receipt in hand, two tickets were then given out to head to the show later that evening. For all the concert details go here. The moment that drew the most attention was when the power went out and his fans helped him sing the last song "Boyfriend" without his mic. "What I saw tonight! My fans! My Beliebers! They stepped up for me! I love u! I will never forget 2nite! That was the way a show should end," he tweeted.
3. Selena Gomez Sings Along Backstage
Here's an extra bonus for Justin and Selena shippers. "Fall" is clearly a song dedicated to Selena but it looks like "Be Alright" is too. "Across the ocean, across the sea/Startin' to forget the way you look at me now/Over the mountains, across the sky/Need to see your face and need to look in your eyes," the lyrics go. Clearly about their busy schedules, the more adorable moment besides listening to the lyrics happened when a fan caught Gomez at the Apollo show singing along! There's always a question on whether or not Selena is backstage when Justin performs but luckily we now know the answer for this recent performance! How sweet is this? Great shot of the two.
4. NBC Special Shows Concussion Fall
In early June it was reported that Justin suffered a concussion after walking into a glass door in between songs at a performance. Well, turns out the situation was a bit more scary than what fans initially thought. Sure, he's walked into a glass door before but the shot that his All Around the World NBC special captured was intense. While walking down a stairwell with some people from his team he passed out suddenly. This wasn't like he just passed out on a couch for a few seconds. His manager Scooter Braun was yelled for as he lay motionless on the concrete. Luckily, he didn't fall down the rest of the stairs. He fell to the ground right as he was getting to a mid-point between staircases.
5. Reveals First Selena Kiss Reaction
Yes, it has happened and it's probably happened to a lot of you as well. Ever caught yourself wasting about two hours of your day just looking up YouTube interviews and moments on Justin and Selena? Of course you have. Well, this time Justin helped us out without all of that extra research. He recently spilled about a big moment between the adorable pair toFabulous magazine. "My first kiss with Selena was the best of my life," he blushed.
Oh, never mind. That's actually us blushing.
Did we mention that June 19 was officially declared Justin Bieber Day too in New York? Yeah, that happened.
