It's easy to forget MLS when we're smack in the middle of Euro 2012, but all it takes to suck us back in is a world-class goal. Seattle Sounders defender Patrick Ianni has been out of action with an injury, but he reasserted himself with a volley against Sporting KC that would have been a goal even against the world-class goalkeepers at the Euro.
Instead, Ianni beat Jimmy Nielsen, who's rocking the bleached blond look like he's fronting Everclear in 1999. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving Sporting KC in second place in the East and Seattle at fourth in the West. It also reminded us that there's an entire summer of soccer to look forward to after Euro 2012 ends.
The goal is below. Zlatan Ibrahimovic approves, though I'm sure he could point out all the ways it's inferior to his redemptive wonderstrike against France just a few days ago.
