If you're going through Jersey Shore withdrawl, no need to fret. Your favorite besties Nicole Polizzi and Jenni Farley return to television tonight with their new MTV spin-off, appropriately titled, Snooki and JWoww. The twosome are sure to get into some crazy antics even with the former having a little guido bun in the oven.
So what can we expect? I caught up with them to get the deets on tonight's premiere. We also talk babies, boyfriends and their reality TV future. Check it out below!
Snooki and JWoww airs at 10 p.m. Thursdays on MTV.
Hey ladies! So what was it like filming without your roommates? Do you guys get on each other’s nerves more when you're living alone?
Snooki: I explain it like this, we’re like sisters. She’s my big sister, and sometimes we do piss each other off, but we definitely know when to leave each other alone, and I think we handle it really well.
Did you miss anyone during filming or were you happy to just be the two of you?
JWoww: I was happy just to have both of us. I mean, we do miss our roommates, but…
Snooki: We just wanted it to be us because we’ve always wanted this, and we truly are best friends.
Jenni, when Nicole first told you she had news, did you immediately think "Oh, she’s pregnant"? What went through your head first?
JWoww: Yeah, I thought there was other news. I was figuring she was backing out, she wanted a boy to move in – there were like 1,001 different other things she could have told me that I had thought of before her saying pregnant. It definitely shocked me that that was thing that came out of her mouth.
And Nicole, were you excited or nervous to tell her?
I was nervous because I thought she would back out and not want to live with me. So that’s why I waited until the last moment to tell her, because I definitely wanted to experience this with her.
Speaking of that, Jenni, did you feel held back at all hanging out with someone who can't really party or drink?
JWoww: It was definitely a different perspective because I thought we were going to have a last hoorah, and it’s technically not a last hoorah when you’re pregnant, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. So it’s definitely an experience that was amazing to me – for the opportunity to live with my best friend, and not picking me over Jionni, but for the fact that she still wanted to do it regardless of the fact that she was engaged and pregnant.
How bout a little baby fever?
JWoww: No, kind of the opposite [laughs]. Definitely put a chastity belt on me. Use my birth control. Because of that, I just definitely know that I want to be selfish a little bit longer, and kind of plan out with Roger when we would do it.
Who do you guys think is next to settle down?
Snooki: Jenni!
JWoww: I don’t know…
Snooki: No, because you’re with Roger for two years, and even though Deena has a boyfriend, I don’t think they will, and Ron and Sam – they definitely don’t even want to yet. So I would say Jenni.
There are rumors about this being the last season of Jersey Shore, but regardless, what do you guys want to do after the show?
JWoww: There was a rumor that it’s going to be the last show since the first show [laughs]. So we’ll never know until like a month or two prior, and we never believe the rumors, but I think me and Nicole are going to try to be Snooki and JWoww as long as we can and keep with reality TV.
Nicole, you’ve said in the past that you like when people call you "Nicole" instead of Snooki. Are you guys sick of your nicknames at this point?
Snooki: No, I use my name as a brand, so I love Snooki, but once in a while it’s nice to be called Nicole because I rarely hear it.
Where did your nicknames come from?
Snooki: Mine came from Save the Last Dance. There was a DJ named Snooki, and he was really funny and goofy and my friends just started calling me that.
And Jenni?
Snooki: Her boobs.
JWoww: Yeah, my boobs used to always make the old MC at the night club I worked at say “Wow.” So when I started working for the same club, they named me “JennyWow,” then shortened it to “JWoww.”
Snooki, do you have names in mind for the baby?
Snooki: Either going to be Jionni Jr. or Lorenzo.
So a very Italian name.
Snooki: Yeah, and you know, normal.
How did Jersey City compare to Seaside? How did the locals react?
JWoww: The places that we did go, the people allowed us to come in with open arms, they were very loving and we had a good time there. You know, Seaside will always be our home, but Jersey City was definitely special to us.
If you guys have kids one day and they watch Jersey Shore and want to get into this business, what kind of advice would you give them?
JWoww: I would tell them learn from your aunt’s and uncle’s mistakes.
Snooki: Yeah!
Will you be watching the show tonight? Comment and let us know!
