In today's Yup, Paparazzi Are Kind Of Shitty news: E! interviewed Alec Baldwin recently after the 30 Rock star was caught on camera beating the crap out of a member of the paparazzi. When asked about how to deal with the problem, Baldwin claimed that the paparazzi are a "menace," putting them into the "illegitimate press" camp: ruffians who mostly spend their days hiding in bushes waiting for celebrities and their families to walk into their line of fire. So basically they’re like ninjas, only not as cool, and have the tendency to take pictures of famous people in their underwear for shady magazines and blogs.
While some may find a sadistic pleasure in watching celebrities fall into a grave of their own making, it totally isn’t cool to have people be "all up in their grill" with cameras: celebrities are people too, and if they wish to suffer a mental breakdown or indulge themselves in their own super-dickery, let’s let them do it on their time rather than simply provoke them into it.
So do you think Alec Baldwin is right about the Paparazzi? Let us know in the comments.
