So, Pusha T finally cemented in a release date for G.O.O.D. Music's upcoming Cruel Summer compilation album during a chat on Funkmaster Flex' radio show, which is all cool, but I'm more interested in what some sources have been saying about the current status of Kanye West's artistic mentality.

As it goes now, the always infamous anonymous source, who claims to be close to Kanye, told UK tabloid The Sun, who told NME, who I have now found out from, that Kanye is taking his approach to music in some strange directions.
Here's what the source said:
"[Kanye] has become so obsessed with roars, barks, and jungle noises that he's experimenting with putting them on a recording."

So, apparently he's devolving into some primordial animalistic ideology where his obsession is the vocal actions of lesser species, and genetic drift operates in a more abortive manner. Or maybe he's just snapped. Who knows.
Anyway, Cruel Summer is dropping on August 7, so we'll see what Kanye does until then. The album could end up being more along the lines of set of Sasquatch calls rather than hip-hop. Either way, people will probably call it "genius."
