Eric Atunes, 29, ran afoul of the law in Florida after police received a tip that he was in possession of child pornography. Atunes cooperated with police, and authorities found nine illegal photos and one illegal video on his hard drive.
But authorities also found something else in the sweep: six photos on on Atunes' cell phone of Atunes engaged in a sex act with his girl friend's three-legged dog. As if missing a leg weren't already bad enough for that poor pooch.
It had looked as if Atunes, a Clearwater resident, would be the first person to face charges under a new (!) Florida law that only recently outlawed bestiality.
But now it seems that Atunes is going to dodge a bullet on the bestiality charge. Florida lawmakers, who are apparently incompetant dolts (or just not perverse enough to cover all their bases), left a loophole in the law so that it is still legal to have oral sex with an animal in the state of Florida.
It is not clear from news reports whether Atunes was felating the dog, or whether he was on the receiving end of the oral sexin'. I mean, you wouldn't think it would be all that possible to retain any sort of sexual pleasure from felating a dog, but then again, we oughtn't misunderestimate a human being's capacity for perversion, lest we leave ourselves in the unenviable position that those Florida lawmakers did. Or maybe Atunes was giving oral sex to the dog just for practice.
Anywho... Eric Atunes actually worked at the local Humane Society, where his girl friend served as medical director. As backwards as that seems, consider that the Humane Society would make the perfect hang out for an animal fucker, much like the Second Mile charity for at-risk children was the preferred volunteer opportunity for Jerry Sandsuky.
There is no evidence that Altunes' girl friend had any idea what he was doing to her poor dog, and upon evaluation the dog was found to well-fed and in good health. The dog remains in her custody.
Altunes will still face multiple charges related to the child porn, and will likely get a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty.
