You think Les Miles is still bitter about Gunner Kiel choosing Notre Dame over LSU?
Miles stepped pretty far out of line by publicly questioning Kiel's manhood on the very first day he was allowed to speak about the highly-touted quarterback recruit on record. Now, more than four months later, Miles is apparently still hung up on Kiel.
"There are reasons for wanting to stay home and play in front of friends and family," Miles said of Kiel on the Scott Van Pelt show Tuesday. "To step into our stadium... takes a different breed of cat. I wish Gunner all the best and I mean that very honestly."
And what kind of "different breed of cat" is that, Les Miles?
Well, as Miles first said last February:
"There was a young man from Indiana (Kiel) that thought about coming to the Bayou State. He did not necessarily have the chest and the ability to lead a program. So, you know."
When Gunner Kiel first switched his commitment from LSU to Notre Dame last January, I warned that a lot of rabid college football fans were going to hate him for it - which made a lot of Gunenr Kiel fans lash out at me.
I expected there to be a fewLSU football nuts around Louisiana that would take it out on the kid, but I didn't expect that Les Miles, a grown-ass man, would be so hung up and obsessed with Kiel to keep rattling on about him, all this time later.
