Today is the day we all have been waiting for (well maybe not all of us) but, Justin Bieber’s third album Believe has finally hit stores!
Obviously everyone is excited for Bieber’s collaborations with the likes of Drake, Ludacris, Big Sean and Nicki Minaj, but there is one song that should be catching everyone’s attention. The last track on the album "Maria" is about the crazy woman, Mariah Yeater, who claims to have been pregnant with Bieber’s baby.
Bieber, who immediately denied the rumors and even took a paternity test to clear his name, tells us what he really thinks about the scandal. This song shows he is definitely not holding back.
The song starts off with the audio, "Pop star Justin Bieber denied he fathered a child," and then continues with an interview between Bieber and Matt Lauer from the Today show. Bieber then goes on to "set the record straight, none of it is true. Never met the woman."
Bieber admits that the inspiration came from Michael Jackson who released a very similar song. According to USA Today, Bieber said, "We were definitely looking at 'Billie Jean' when we made this song. It’s our way of remembering an icon, and making a point."
Bieber certainly makes a point with the lyrics, "That ain’t my baby. That ain’t my girl. Maria, why you wanna play me like that?"
Props to Bieber for being so mature about the situation. His fans sure appreciate it!
