ACC Tournament Preview
College basketball's regular season is now over, and SportsOlogy is highlighting all of the college basketball tournaments that matter; today we preview the ACC tournament, which begins Thursday, March 8. At the risk of offending the BCS, we think tournaments are pretty cool. The ACC used to be the nation’s top basketball conference, not just because of its history but also because of the top-to-bottom talent of its teams. These days, though, the ACC is a two-team league, with Duke and North Carolina battling for supremacy every year. Maryland has fallen off the map, Wake Forest hasn’t been the same program since Skip Prosser’s death, and the rest of the schools have failed to step up their games in the power vaccuum that has resulted. The ACC might tip over soon, it’s so top- heavy.

Duke or North Carolina?
Both top ten. Hated rivals. Unparalleled history. North Carolina's entire starting lineup is destined for the NBA. Duke's NBA prospects consist of just Austin Rivers and a couple of Plumlees. Maybe Quinn Cook. UNC is stronger and deeper. Duke's guards are better scorers. We can go back and forth. I'm going with UNC. I like their depth, size, talent and experience over Duke's. http://ology.com/sports/whos-more-dangerous-duke-or-north-carolina/03012012

Who's More Dangerous: Duke Or North Carolina?
Two of the most storied programs in college basketball, Duke and North Carolina will forever be paired. Who better to compare?Duke: Duke's offense rests on the shoulders of its sturdy backcourt -- Austin Rivers and Seth Curry. Rivers, a highly-touted recruit coming in, has established himself as the most dynamic on-ball scorer in the ACC. His shot over Tyler Zeller in Chapel Hill painted the perfect portrait of his skill-set and attributes, providing Duke with a late-game go-to option and shot-creator off the dribble. Curry on the other hand has given the Blue Devils a one-two perimeter punch that forces defenses to remain alert for all 35 seconds of a Duke possession. With both Curry and Rivers shooting 39% from downtown, defenders must play up,...

UNC Freshman Harrison Barnes Will Not Enter Draft
Harrison, Harrison, Harrison. After wowing us all with your virtuoso scoring ability in the latter half of the season and the NCAA Tournament, we expected to see you in the NBA next year. Unfortunately for pro basketball fans everywhere--especially those who are fans of lottery teams--Harrison "Horse" Barnes will return to the University of North Carolina for his sophomore season. The decision to stay caught many--including SportsOlogy--by surprise considering how weak this year's draft class is and how much Barnes's stock has risen over the past few months. He likely would have been selected with one of the top five picks in the draft, but now he can only look forward to cash under the table and benefits from Chapel Hill merchants. With Barnes returning, UNC becomes the prohibitive favorite to win the 2012 NCAA Tournament. It's juuuuuusssst a bit early to make that predic...
