It's a sad day for jazz fans—legendary pianist Dave Brubeck passed away this morning in a Norfolk, Connecticut hospital, one day shy of his 92nd birthday. According to Brubeck's manager Russell Gloyd, the "Take Five" icon died of heart failure on his way to see his cardiologist. He is survived by his wife Iola, five children, multiple grandchildren on one great granddaughter.
