Stunts and shows, people: despite the fact that the Billboard Music Awards were completely defunct for four years (from 2007-2010), their recent resurgence has apparently made them relevant enough to hand out critical Milestone Awards to preteen pop artists with just two albums (though this is still legendary chart-marker Billboard we're talking about here, so I've got the unpopular opinion and I'm fine with that). All of the nominees here—which included Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars—should have expected to get booed upon receiving this particular title, because seriously: have any of them done anything significant enough to receive a milestone award?
