“I find dictatorial coaches like this one of the problems with college sports. While in pro sports, athletes are at least compensated to deal with these tyrants. In college, the student athletes are fairly powerless. With coaches as the only institution in college sports (with players staying for four years), it takes tremendous courage for athletes to speak out. If they don't have the strength to speak out, there options are limited (transferring means sitting out a year and their scholarships are contigent on playing and playing hard).”
