Remember when Ben Stiller thought it'd be soooooo funny to dress up at the Oscars like one of the Jar Jar Binksians from Avatar? Remember when everyone kind of laughed nervously, almost exclusively out of pity for how much effort the stunt must have taken to pull off? Well good, we repressed it all too.
Until now! For those that didn't know, Stiller's gone "indie" for his next flick and will play a (no way!) nervous sad sap in Noah Baumbach's upcoming Greenberg. Ok, fine. What really matters however is that LCD Soundsystem main man James Murphy wrote and performed the score. While he may be self-deprecating in his own right, he will never, never paint himself blue and try to wring laughs out of a dry rag.
Thanks to We All Want Someone To Shout For we get the first glimpse into James Murphy's filmic mentality. Don't try and spin this one on the dancefloor kids -- this is the Roxy Music-lovin' side-a things for Murphy.
So take a listen to the rock slab that is "Oh You (Christmas Blues)" right here.
And grab the full record when it hits the digital shelves March 22nd.
