Rent the Runway is looking to give users the "head to toe" experience - instead of leasing just a designer dress for a few days at a time, you can now nab makeup from Lancôme to arrive with your package. Now if only we could rent a makeup artist (hint, hint).

Rent the Runway CEO Jennifer Hyman said, "Lancôme is the perfect partner for our entry into beauty. They’re a luxurious, aspirational and sophisticated brand, just like our designer partners.”
My first concern thought was that customers would be using pre-owned makeup, which mostly sounds like a cross-contamination nightmare, but it turns out Rent the Runway is dabbling in the full-price market here. Most of the Lancome products are reasonably priced between $20 and $30 which a few worthy outliers (the 5-Pan Eye Shadow and Liner Palette is $48, the Magic Bronzing Brush is $33)
The deal is kind of bizarre timing on Rent the Runway's part — the service would have seen some serious sales spikes is they had debuted the collaboration just before prom — but now with wedding season in full effect (add in the surplus of gay marriages...YAY!), I'm sure both brands will endlessly benefit from the collab.
